Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea is a new area located in Tokyo DisneySea (not Tokyo Disneyland, just to be clear! ♪). The highlight of this zone is its new theme park area inspired by three main Disney animations: Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan/Tinkerbell!
Today, I’ve put together a complete guide including reviews, entry methods, preparation tips, and various techniques for you to use as a comprehensive handbook covering all the rides, restaurants, and shops! If you’re ready, just keep scrolling down to read more!
**Note: This article is based on information from when I visited on June 7, 2024, which was the second day after the theme park’s opening. Rules and conditions may change in the future!

Did you know before entering the Fantasy Springs ?
This new zone at Tokyo DisneySea has been generating huge buzz since its construction, and upon opening, it became one of the most popular attractions among both international tourists and Japanese locals! Social media went viral with images of people queuing in front of the park in the early morning darkness. Some might think, “Are these photos fake? Who would wait for an amusement park that early?” Well, I can tell you that these images are absolutely real and not edited at all! Japanese people really love queuing and follow queue etiquette super strictly. We often see them queuing for restaurants, cafes, and buses, so it’s totally normal to see them waiting for theme parks from dawn!
From my experience, Tokyo Disneyland is the only Disney park where you absolutely must plan ahead if you want to enjoy lots of rides. Never ever think “I’ll figure it out when I get there!!!” You might end up not being able to ride any popular attractions at all because they’ll be fully booked for every time slot!
Even though Fantasy Springs is part of Tokyo DisneySea and requires advance ticket purchase, there are separate conditions for entering this zone. Guests must successfully book at least one ride in this zone to gain access to the area. If you’re slow to book a ride time, you won’t be able to enter the zone that day at all and will have to try again another day!
To avoid disappointment, you need to plan your Fantasy Springs strategy carefully. You can only book rides after your Tokyo DisneySea ticket has been scanned at the park entrance gates. So the strategy is simple – get your ticket scanned as early as possible! The earlier your ticket is scanned, the better chance you have of securing ride bookings.
I’ve divided the methods for entering Fantasy Springs into 4 different approaches, which I’ll explain next!
How to Enter Fantasy Springs quickly?
For guests staying at the Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel, you’ll get special early access to DisneySea and guaranteed entry to Fantasy Springs before all other guests starting from 7:45 AM. Plus, you’ll have access to an exclusive entrance to the Fantasy Springs zone!
You’ll also have the privilege to purchase the 1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic, which allows you to enjoy unlimited rides and re-entry throughout the day!
1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic Prices:
- Adults (18 years and above): 22,900 – 25,900 yen
- Youth (12-17 years): 21,600 – 24,000 yen
- Children (4-11 years): 19,700 – 20,600 yen
1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic Prices for Guests with Disabilities:
- Adults (18 years and above): 21,500 – 23,700 yen
- Youth (12-17 years): 20,300 – 22,200 yen
- Children (4-11 years): 18,800 – 19,400 yen
The Vacation Package is Tokyo Disney Resort’s tourism package that lets you plan your own itinerary! You can purchase it exclusively through the Tokyo Disneyland Resort website. With this package, you can pre-book times for all the rides you want to enjoy. When you purchase a Vacation Package, you’ll have the opportunity to buy a 1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic, which gives you unlimited access to the zone with as many entries and exits as you like!
1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic Prices:

- Youth (12-17 years): 21,600 – 24,000 yen

Guess what? There’s this super special “Happy Entry” privilege for Disney hotel guests! You get to enter Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea through an exclusive entrance 15 minutes before everyone else! Just keep in mind that you can’t use this perk on your check-in day – it starts from the next day of your stay!
Let me share which hotels offer this amazing benefit: Hotels with Happy Entry for Tokyo Disneyland only:
- Toy Story Hotel
- Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel
And these lucky hotels get Happy Entry for BOTH Tokyo Disneyland AND DisneySea:
- Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel
- Disney Ambassador Hotel
- Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta
So here’s the fun part – if you’re staying at one of these hotels, you get to enter DisneySea about 15 minutes before the general public! The park lets hotel guests scan their tickets and enter from 8:00 AM onwards. Only after all the hotel guests are in do they start letting everyone else enter. And during those precious 15 minutes, you can start booking your rides! ✨
Now, I should mention that while hotel guests get this early entry perk, actually getting ride bookings still depends on how quick you are and a bit of luck too! When I stayed at the Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta, I found it pretty easy to book rides since I was only competing with other hotel guests. Those 15 minutes of early access felt totally worth it!
For all you regular visitors who aren’t staying at either the Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel or Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta, here’s my top tip: Wake up super early and get in line!
Why? Because the earlier you can scan your ticket and enter the park, the better chance you’ll have at booking those amazing rides!
From what I saw during my visit, most rides in the zone were fully booked within the first 1-2 hours – everything was gone by 9 AM! (This was on June 7, 2024, just the second day after the theme park opened). If you arrive late, you might miss out completely!
A lot of people ask me, “What time should regular visitors arrive?” Well, I personally went to line up at 6 AM (and I was staying at the Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta – even in the hotel guests’ line, there were sooo many early birds!).
But for regular visitors not staying at the designated hotels, want to know what I found out? I chatted with people in line and heard from friends who visited after me – folks were actually showing up to queue between 3:30 AM and 5 AM! Can you believe that dedication?
Remember, the early bird catches the Disney magic! Would you like to know more about the queuing system or what to do while waiting? I’d be happy to share more tips!
What rides are in Fantasy Springs?
Fantasy Springs follows the park’s operating hours, with Tokyo DisneySea starting to let people in from 7:45 AM! As soon as you scan your ticket, you can start booking rides right away – but keep in mind that all rides start their first runs together at 9:00 AM!
This amazing new zone is a magical theme park inspired by three super popular and beloved animated films: Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan! Each story has its own specially decorated area with totally different atmospheres that’ll make you feel like you’ve stepped right into the movies!
Oh, and here’s something super helpful to know – you can book each ride using either Disney Premier Access (DPA) or Standby Pass through the Tokyo Disney Resort app!
Disney Premier Access VS Standby Pass ?
Want to know the difference between Disney Premier Access (DPA) and Standby Pass? Both let you book rides through the Tokyo Disney Resort app, but here’s what makes them special!
- Disney Premier Access (DPA) ticket: You’ll need to pay an extra 2,000 yen per person, but here’s the cool part – you can pick your ride time and just show up when it’s time to ride! For example, if you book for 2:00 PM, you can just walk up to the line when it’s nearly time!
- Standby Pass: This one’s FREE (yay!) and you can still choose your ride time, but here’s the catch – when your time comes, you’ll need to wait in line before you can ride. You can’t just hop right on!
Frozen Kingdom
Let me tell you about our first magical zone – the Frozen Kingdom! Inspired by the beloved story of Frozen, the standout landmark of this area is absolutely incredible – they’ve brought the ENTIRE city of Arendelle right here!
Now, I know what Frozen fans might be thinking – “Wait, doesn’t Hong Kong have World of Frozen too?” You’re wondering how these two are different??
Would you love to hear the amazing differences between these two magical Frozen worlds
Let me share all the fun differences and similarities between these two magical Frozen lands!
- The Arendelle Castle: Comparing the two parks, Tokyo’s version has this gorgeous wooden-tone design with blue-green roofs that gives it this super magical, enchanted feel! Hong Kong’s castle, on the other hand, is a perfect fantasy replica straight from the animation!
- The Attractions: Hong Kong Disneyland has 2 rides and 1 show, while Tokyo DisneySea has just 1 ride and no show. BUT…
- Here’s something special – even though Tokyo has fewer attractions, “Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey” is totally unique! It’s the only original Frozen ride with its own special storyline that you won’t find anywhere else! Meanwhile, Hong Kong’s “Frozen Ever After” tells the same story as the one at Epcot!
- Both have themed restaurants, but they’re so different! Hong Kong’s restaurant is styled as an ancient Arendelle royal dining spot (and it’s Kristoff’s favorite!). Tokyo’s restaurant is actually INSIDE Arendelle Castle, where you get to dine like a special guest of Queen Elsa and Anna!
- The Arendelle Village: Both have one, but Tokyo’s is bigger with more houses and lots more colorful photo spots!
- Both have Elsa’s Ice Palace on the North Mountain, and oh my goodness, it looks absolutely magical at night when it’s all lit up!
- Shopping is different too! Hong Kong has a Frozen-exclusive shop, while Tokyo combines all Fantasy Springs merchandise in one amazing store!
The highlight of this ride? It’s an amazing boat adventure through Elsa and Anna’s story that I just HAVE to rave about! When you get inside… oh. my. goodness… it’s SO beautiful it might bring tears to your eyes!
This ride is totally worth it – even if in the future you have to wait in line for 3 hours, I’d still say GO FOR IT! And for families with kids, this is perfect! There aren’t any big drops like in Hong Kong’s version, so it’s super kid-friendly. The only tricky part is getting a spot because this ride books up super fast at the very beginning of the day!
Here are the important details:
- The ride lasts about 6 minutes
- You can book it using either:
- Standby Pass (FREE!) or
- DPA through the Tokyo Disney Resort app (2,000 yen)
For Frozen fans, you can purchase the Popcorn Bucket Frozen at Tokyo Disney Resort for 3,000 yen.
โซน Peter Pan
Next up is the Peter Pan zone! This area is a magical recreation of Neverland, and oh my goodness, it’s incredible! There are THREE volcanoes, a Native American village, and get this – there’s a Skull Rock valley that you can actually climb and explore!
The pirate ship isn’t just for show – you can actually climb aboard! And everywhere you look, there are these adorable magical crayon marks in different colors on chairs, rocks, and walls – these were left by the Lost Boys! When you visit, try to spot all their cute little drawings and see what you can find!
This enchanting part of Neverland has TWO amazing rides and one restaurant called “Lookout Cookout”
You have to wear 3D glasses for this ride, and honestly? I didn’t expect much at first, but OH. MY. GOODNESS! It was so incredible it brought tears to my eyes! Peter Pan fans absolutely MUST try this, but even if you’re not a huge fan, please don’t skip it! It’s absolutely worth it – I would have been so sad if I’d missed this magical experience!
This ride lets you soar through Neverland on a flying ship, and you even encounter Captain Hook and his pirates! Everything inside is SO beautifully done and realistic – it really feels like you’re actually flying! I got emotional just watching it, it’s that amazing!
Important details:
- The ride lasts 6 minutes
- Minimum height requirement: 102 cm
- You can book it using either:
- Standby Pass (FREE!) or
- DPA through the Tokyo Disney Resort app (2,000 yen)
Next up is Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies! I actually didn’t get to try this one since I couldn’t get a Standby Pass in time. From what I know, it’s a ride where you hop into a cute little car and drive through Tinker Bell’s garden! The ride is pretty short, which is why I didn’t fight too hard to get on it, but if you’re a Tink fan, you might want to check it out!
Important details:
- Ride duration: Just over 2 minutes
- You can ONLY book this with:
- Standby Pass (FREE!)
- Note: DPA is not available for this ride!
Hey Peter Pan fans! You absolutely CANNOT miss this – the popcorn in the Peter Pan zone is grilled meat flavor and it is INCREDIBLE! It smells amazing and tastes even better! And guess what? They even have limited edition themed popcorn buckets for sale!
If you’re a Peter Pan fan, this is definitely something you’ll want to try! The aroma alone will make your mouth water!
The Peter Pan Popcorn Bucket is priced at 3,200 yen.
Rapunzel
The final zone is Rapunzel’s area, and oh my goodness, this is THE most popular spot for photos! The tower stands so majestically, and the best part? Rapunzel actually sings from up in the tower! sniff As a Rapunzel fan, this just makes my heart so happy… I actually teared up because it’s just SO beautiful!
This zone is pure fantasy come to life! Everything around is decorated with Corona kingdom flags, making it absolutely magical!
In this dreamy area, you’ll find:
- One incredible ride
- A restaurant called “The Snuggly Duckling”
It’s a gorgeous boat ride that takes you through scenes from the story! You float past the forest where Rapunzel’s tower is, and you can hear her singing! Below, you’ll spot Eugene trying to hide from Maximus, while Maximus is busy tracking Eugene’s scent! But when your boat enters the cave… OH. MY. GOODNESS!
It’s just… STUNNING! Words can’t describe it except “absolutely beautiful”! The attention to detail in the decorations is absolutely incredible – this is definitely a must-ride attraction!
Though… I will say that even though it’s the same length as the Elsa ride (6 minutes), it feels a bit shorter because there are fewer scenes. But it’s still absolutely magical!
Important details:
- You can book it using either:
- Standby Pass (FREE!) or
- DPA through the Tokyo Disney Resort app (2,000 yen)
Pro tip: Try your absolute best to get a booking because the standby queue is SUPER long!
The limited-edition Rapunzel-themed Popcorn Bucket with caramel flavor is priced at 3,000 yen.
Highlights of the Fantasy Springs ,Tokyo DisneySea
Beyond the beautiful animation-themed zones, the entire Fantasy Springs area surrounding the rides is just as magical! I really recommend taking time to explore every corner!
The entrance gates and the area in front of the Fantasy Springs Hotel are especially enchanting – you’ll find these gorgeous fairy tale stone sculptures featuring different Disney characters! And oh my goodness, at night when they light everything up, it’s absolutely breathtaking!
If you want to meet the princesses, head over to the fountain area in front of the hotel! The princesses take turns coming out to greet guests in this area. They appear in groups of 2-3 princesses at a time, for about 15-20 minutes per session!
Want to know a little secret for the best photo opportunities with the princesses? The fountain makes such a magical backdrop!
Shop in the Fantasy Spring ,Tokyo DisneySea
Fantasy Springs Gifts is THE magical shop located right under the Fantasy Springs Hotel! This store has ALL the merchandise from this zone, and oh my goodness – everything is so cute and beautiful! It’s the most spectacular Disney park shop I’ve ever seen!
But here’s something super important to know about shopping here:
- You can only buy 1 piece of each item per person
- Each guest can only shop at the store ONCE per day
- They’ll scan your ticket at checkout, so you can’t come back for more shopping that day!
So here’s my pro tip: Plan your shopping carefully! Make sure you get everything you want in one visit because you won’t be able to come back for more that day!
Restaurants in the Fantasy Spring ,Tokyo DisneySea
In Fantasy Springs, there are 3 magical restaurants:
- Royal Banquet of Arendelle (Frozen themed)
- Lookout Cookout (Peter Pan themed)
- The Snuggly Duckling (Rapunzel themed)
Important dining tip: You MUST make a reservation through the Tokyo Disney Resort app for all these restaurants! You’ll need to select your meal, drinks, and preferred time in advance – no walk-ins allowed!
Just imagine dining like royalty in Arendelle, having an adventure feast with the Lost Boys, or enjoying a meal at Flynn Rider’s favorite tavern!

Let me share my personal ranking with lots of enthusiasm! Here’s my “must-ride” ranking for Fantasy Springs attractions:
- Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey – This one is absolutely magical and will bring tears to your eyes!
- Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure – Such an incredible flying adventure that makes you feel like you’re really soaring through Neverland!
- Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival – Beautifully detailed and enchanting, especially in the cave scene!
- Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies – While cute, it’s a shorter experience compared to the others!
Fantasy Springs features 4 new rides, 3 main restaurants, and 1 souvenir shop. But here’s something SUPER important about this zone – it’s totally different from other areas!
Usually, you can enter any zone with just your park ticket, but Fantasy Springs has a special rule! To enter this magical area, you MUST successfully book at least one ride in Fantasy Springs first! If you can’t get a booking for any of the rides that day, you won’t be able to enter the zone at all!
- Standby Pass – This is a FREE ride booking pass that you can get through the Tokyo Disney Resort app. Limited availability!
- Disney Premier Access (or “DPA” for short) – This is a paid ride booking pass that costs 2,000 yen per person, also available through the Tokyo Disney Resort app.
- First, you’ll need to open the Tokyo Disney Resort app
- Link your park ticket by scanning it in the app
- Once your information is linked, go to the Home screen
- Look for the “My Plan” menu
- Select “Disney Premier Access”
- You’ll then see a list of available rides you can book!
mportant note about payment: You’ll need to link a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or American Express) to your account for payments. If you haven’t used this feature before, the system will automatically take you to the card registration page before your first purchase. Once your card is linked, you’re all set to make bookings!
Remember, you’ll only need to set up your card once – after that, booking will be super quick and easy!
Here’s a SUPER important rule to remember: You CAN’T book these passes in advance! Both types of passes (Standby Pass and DPA) can ONLY be booked AFTER your park ticket has been scanned at the entrance by a staff member.
This is why timing your park entry is so crucial!
Important rule about repeat bookings:
- For Disney Premier Access (DPA): You must wait 1 hour before booking another ride
- For Standby Pass: You need to wait 2 hours before your next booking
This is why it’s so important to plan your ride timings strategically!
From my experience, when trying to book for a group, the system tends to crash a lot! I found it much easier to book individually. If you want to ride with friends, just try to book the same time slot separately – it seems like booking one by one gives you a better chance of success!
You can book ALL of these rides using either DPA or Standby Pass:
- Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey
- Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure
- Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival
BUT there’s one exception: ** Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies can ONLY be booked with Standby Pass!
NO, you can’t! You must have a Tokyo DisneySea ticket specifically, because Fantasy Springs is located in Tokyo DisneySea!This means Tokyo Disneyland tickets won’t work here!
No, not yet! You must successfully book at least one ride in the zone first before you can enter. Having just a park ticket isn’t enough!
No, you can’t! As I mentioned earlier, you can only book/reserve passes AFTER your ticket has been scanned at the park entrance. Even if you have all 4 tickets linked together in a group, if 2 people haven’t had their tickets scanned yet, their names won’t show up in the system, so you won’t be able to book for them!
Everyone needs to be physically inside the park (with scanned tickets) to be eligible for ride bookings!
No, absolutely not!
Yes, there might be some cancelled passes or additional releases throughout the day! But the numbers are unpredictable – it’s not guaranteed.
Pro tip: Keep checking the app throughout your visit – you might get lucky!
No, you can’t! There are staff members stationed at the entrance to the zone, and they check everyone’s ride bookings. Without either a Standby Pass or DPA for one of the zone’s rides, you won’t be allowed to enter at all!
No, you can’t! All rides in this zone can ONLY be enjoyed with either a Standby Pass or Disney Premier Access. Unlike rides in other zones, you can’t just stand in a regular queue.
So each ride needs its own booking – there’s no regular standby line option here!
No, absolutely not! Everyone needs their own booking to enter the zone.
While this might become more flexible in the future… when I visited, the answer was no! If you have an evening ride time, you’ll only be allowed to enter closer to that time. They won’t let you in too early because the zone isn’t very large, and they need to control crowd levels to prevent overcrowding.
This is all about making sure everyone has a comfortable experience in the magical new zone!
No, you don’t! Once you’re in the zone and have enjoyed your ride, you can stay to walk around and take photos as much as you like! However – here’s the important part – if you leave the zone and don’t have another ride booking, you won’t be able to get back in!
So, is Fantasy Springs worth visiting?
Fantasy Springs is this gorgeous new zone that perfectly captures the magic of three beloved animations: Frozen, Tangled, Peter Pan, and Tinkerbell! If you’re a fan of any of these stories, you’re going to absolutely love it! Most rides here are perfect for families and children, with only Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure having height restrictions.
Now, about the space – even though it features three main themes, Fantasy Springs is actually quite compact! This means it can get a bit crowded at times, and there aren’t always enough seats (some folks end up sitting on decorative rocks!). But don’t worry – it’s still comfortable to walk around because they control the number of people allowed inside.
For dining, the restaurants are surprisingly spacious and comfortable – no fighting for tables here! However, there’s one catch: you can’t just walk in and eat. You must make reservations in advance through the app, which can be tricky if time slots are full or if you miss the booking window.
All these restrictions – limited zone entry, ride bookings, and restaurant reservations – might just be temporary measures for the opening period. As time goes on and crowds naturally decrease, or when the park improves its queue management system, things might become more flexible and convenient!
