The year’s biggest battle is approaching as fans will witness thrilling action between Captain America and Red Hulk in the blockbuster ‘Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World,’ premiering on Makha Bucha Day, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in theaters nationwide. To build anticipation, Marvel Studios has reimagined the two adversaries in Thai style as Garuda and Giant, revealing this special fan art poster to Thai fans.
This fan art poster was created by talented artist Maiimou (P) from Smashhh Studio. P explained the design concept, saying they drew inspiration from the distinctive characteristics of both Captain America and Red Hulk, blending Thai culture with the story of ‘Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World.’
‘In incorporating Thai culture into the characters, we explored cultural elements that could connect with Captain America and Red Hulk. Initially, we considered Muay Thai’s red and blue corners, but looking deeper, Captain America has wings and can fly, while Red Hulk is a red giant. So we searched for animals and characters in Thai literature with similar characteristics, leading to Garuda and Giant, which effectively tell their story,’ P explained, adding that while inspired by Thai literary creatures, the fan art poster design doesn’t reference any specific literary work.
As for Red Hulk, he embodies a red giant, adorned in Thai royal attire, displaying a furious temperament and ready for an intense face-off with his opponent that would shake the entire land of Thailand.
The story in ‘Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World’ follows a major mission after Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) meets with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross (played by Harrison Ford in his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut). When faced with a critical international incident, Wilson must uncover the truth behind a global conspiracy before the real perpetrators set the world ablaze
